Net Impact London Professional is pleased to wish everyone a happy New Year and to announce our January event  Mid Career Opportunities in Sustainability: Exploring an MBA and an International Executive Development Programme. The event will take place at The Hub, Kings Cross with registration at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.

Mid career professionals are actively evaluating unpaid opportunities to enhance their careers in sustainability and broaden their social impact.  Join us at the Hub for a relevant and important discussion on how two distinct opportunities, a sustainability-focused MBA and an international executive development programme focused on developing countries, can help direct or redirect your career toward sustainability and social change.

Giselle Weybrecht is the author of The Sustainable MBA: The Manager's Guide to Green Business will discuss her recent publication which provides the knowledge and tools to help turn any job into a green job, to turn sustainability into action for the benefit of the bottom line and society as a whole. Her research, based on more than 100 interviews with experts in business, international organizations, NGOs and universities from around the world, brings together all the pieces of the business and sustainability puzzle.

Julie Saunders is the Director of Pepal, a young social enterprise that facilitates partnerships between the private and non-profit sectors, to achieve effective and sustainable social change in the developing world. Julie will discuss the Pepal programme which strategically pairs individuals from the private and non-profit sectors on critical change projects that impact the lives of women, children, and marginalized groups in developing countries. The 12-month hands-on programme, in collaboration with leading Academic Institutions, arms participants with the theoretical tools and frameworks they need in order to work together toward successfully accomplishing their project goals.

We can look forward to meaningful insight and debate from our speakers including:

·       How business schools are adapting and incorporating sustainability into traditional coursework

·       Current Pepal case studies and results from Africa and India

·       The benefits and challenges to implementing change in traditional businesses and non-profit organizations

The event will end with ample opportunity for networking with the speakers and attendees.  A cash bar will be available.

Registration is limited. Please confirm your attendance at http://opportunitiessustainablebusiness.eventbrite.com
